IMSL/ PV Wave
International Mathematical and Statistical Libraries (IMSL)

IMSL is a collection of software
components used in statistics and data applications for the programming
languages Fortran, C, C # or Java can be reused. The peculiarity is
that a substantial proportion of modules for programming the cluster
computing system can be used.
PV-WAVE is a graphical analysis tool for analysis and visualization of
complex data sets. Data from business applications can be manipulated
and experimental interactive presentation in different ways are mapped
to a certain extent the most appropriate presentation experimentally to
form finding.
Software projects or internships software have a permanent place in
both the research enterprise as well as teaching at the Institute for
Economic computer science. By using this extensive library of
mathematical and statistical functions can be the building blocks of
the programmers in their own cluster applications and integrate the
software development cycle much faster.
Example applications possible through the financial
Sciences:
- Risk management
- Fixed Income Analysis (earnings and risk ratios)
- Portfolio analysis and optimization
- Exchange Rate Analysis
- Options and derivatives pricing
- Share risk - Modeling and Analysis
- Forecasting (preview account planning)
- Trading Strategy Optimization
- Stock performance monitoring
- ...
possible example algorithms for logistics:
- Time-series data analysis
- Statistical data analysis
- Monte Carlo simulations
- ...
